Date For Cross Examination of Just One Witness in Our Civil Suit 388/2007

 1. [Latest Update today being 6 Feb, 23:] We have just received a WhatsApp message from the court registrar of Judge R M Aikawa's new date of over three months. Too heavy on our side as private investors in Nigeria and the many years of the case. The judiciary should be aware of this.

2. [Update] Our case was adjourned from 26 OCT 2022 to 25 JAN 2023 for the cross examination of one witness who was assumed retired from Nigeria Customs. The court registrar adjourned it again to 31 JAN 2023 because Hon. Justice RM Aikawa on Fiat was engaged. Customs' lawyer has discovered and had a meeting with their witness; that he was transferred to Owerri, Imo State, not retired. We were in court on 31 JAN, but court did not sit. This note is for the CJN Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola and CJ Hon Justice John Tsoho to inform Hon. Justice Aikawa who is in Kaduna State, having missed his two dates, to kindly bring his shortest date for cross examination of just one Customs' witness. Then all the parties will head to Final Written Address. We also inform the Hon. Minister of Finance, Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali of what we have heard about their one witness. Presidency also noted.

3. The registrar had sent message and we quote:
        "Good evening counsel.
Please be informed that I have not heard from Hon Justice R M Aikawa to know if he'll be coming to Lagos or not to hear his fiat matters despite sending messages to him. This is the position we are in for now.
            Thank you."

4. The Honourable Judge needs to respond with a date. We are concerned about his delay. Sure, practice makes perfect. I, Anacho, will play by the rule of Section 221 of the Evidence Act if the judge will protect the rule and my questions will suggest the answer. As long as the one Nigeria Customs witness plays by the rule and agrees or disagrees, in less than 40 minutes we will be done. Our case is over 14 years. With the Police Investigation, it is now over 17 years as regarding the exchange rate of 114 naira to 1 US dollars we imported our brand motorcycles Nnojap Super AX 100 and current exchange rate of all time high. The ability of the judiciary to understand and balance it is extremely important. The Judiciary can equally pay us the six months' salary of Justice Aikawa for him to understand the pain of keeping a family with their company's case down in the pretense of doing it from Oct 2022 we saw him last to his current adjournment date. It is over half a year.
